What you’re buying
A spot in a specific edition of Debriefd, on a specific day, in a specific market. Not a campaign, not impressions, not a “package.” Each spot runs once, on the day you picked, in the type you picked. Sponsor Block is a single charge for one week of placement; there is no auto-renew on any sponsor product. You buy the space you want and that is it.
02.
Editorial review
Margot, the editor, reads every ad before it runs. She may suggest edits to copy. She may decline an ad that misrepresents a product, targets a protected group, or doesn’t fit the paper. We refund any declined ad in full, same day.
03.
Cancellation
Single-edition spots: cancel up to 4 a.m. local on the run date for a full refund. After 4 a.m., the edition is at the printer and the spot is final.
Sponsor Block: cancel up to 4 a.m. local on the start date of the week for a full refund. Once the week begins, the seven days run to completion.
04.
What we measure (and what we don’t)
We report total reads of the edition your ad ran in, and the number of taps from your ad to the link you provided. That’s it. We don’t do retargeting, attribution windows, lookalike audiences, or any of the rest of it. The product is restraint.
05.
Your data
We collect what you give us: business name, contact email, the ad itself, billing info via Stripe (we never see your card). We don’t sell your data. We don’t share it with anyone except Stripe (for payment) and Firebase (for sign-in). See the privacy page for the full list.
06.
Changes
When we change these terms, we email every active sponsor and post the prior version at terms/v1 until at least one year after the change. No silent updates.
07.
The lawyer version
The long-form agreement, including arbitration, governing law, and the rest, is at hello@debriefd.app. Email us and we’ll send it the same day.
